I have a Jiffy Seed Starter with 50 containers, I planted seeds and as of this morning only some of them have sprouted. On the container it says if seeds have sprouted unobstructed
Pull up stakes it closed for the unsprouted kids.
I like the "Jiffy 7" starter better than the nightmarishness you bought.
